Chick w/ hard "round as a golfball" butt -- c

I cleaned her yellow gunk off her vent and the vent looks fine. However no feathers on fanny and very hard and don't know how to clear.

Chick sleeps all day and 1/2 the size of her sister.

Thanks. I can't find anything else in her vent. It looks normal except for the hard swelling. I think I may try prep h. I'm afraid I'll lose her soon.

BTW, I'm a newbie too. I have four 7 week olds (Buff O, Rhode Island Red, Black Sex Link, and Golden Wyanotte), a 4 week old Americauna and two 2 week old Mille Fiore Leghorns.

I think I'm getting a bit obsessed with the whole chicken thing.
