Chick with abdomen skin torn open

    My aunt brought a baby chick home from her school. Someone stepped on it and tore the thin belly skin open. We can see everything on the inside. There isn't any bleeding and the chick walks around just fine when it isn't sleeping. We poured peroxide on it, smeared it with neosporin and made a makeshift diaper that covers the wound. I'd post a pic but we've messed with it so much I don't want to move it again. I would like to know if this is futile and if we should just put it in the freezer. I know nothing about chickens.

    If it were me I'd try to suture the wound somehow...but have never done that before so I can't tell you how to go about it.
