Chick with bald spot on face - keeps scratching at it.

Noticed this bald spot on chick's face near his ear. I noticed him scratching it. The others are ok and not seeming to bother or pick at him. Wondering what it is. Could it be mites? I put some clotrimazole cream on it and waiting to see if it helps. I am moving them out of the brooder within the next day. The chicks are 2 weeks old. Cornish/cross. They all seem to be eating and drinking fine and active. Just hope this isn't something others will catch or something that will kill the baby chick. Please help. Here are 2 pictures I took as close up as possible. Thanks for any help. It does appear to be a bit swelled.
