chick with bulging eye

I have a chick that hatched with one eye bigger and bulging. It has no discharge and she can open it but usually doesn't and she doesn't seem in pain. It feels solid. I've never seen this before, should I just cull her? The husband says yes.

I'd let her be. If she makes it...Great. If not...Well, you gave her a chance. I don't cull chicks unless they seem to be suffering. Some fail to thrive and die on their own, but a great many seem to do fine despite their rough beginnings.

A one-eyed bird can live a full life with all its quality. Many people here have birds with one eye or even completely blind, and they often do well.
