Chick with eye problem

i have a chick approximately 8 weeks old. Momma hen hatched out 11 babies and has raised them herself. I recently noticed one of them standing by itself. Upon further inspection I found this little one with what looks like a pimple on its eye. I tried "flushing" with sterile saline and oxytetracycline by mouth and nothing is work. Any ideas? Will post pic also.....

I'm not quite sure what that is, but it wouldn't hurt to try some Terramycin on it to see if that clears it up.

Can you try to get a clearer picture? If you flush the eye with some saline eye drops and take a QTip, can you move the white object? Or is it attached? Does it seem raised or flat? The Terramycin eye ointment suggested by Pyxis would be good. You could also check with your regular vet about possibly getting some ciprofloxacin eye drops, or try online at First State Vet Supply. What I worry about is this may be an infection or a peck wound that has caused a problem. Make sure that your coop is free of ammonia odors that can cause eye ulcers.

It looks like she has pus in her eye.
Have you tried flushing the eye out with saline and seeing if the "gunk" will come out? Sometimes pus will need to be worked out of the eye using a q-tip.

I think I also see some swelling and bubbles as well? Does she have any respiratory symptoms - coughing, wheezing, sneezing?

Pus in the eye can be from infection from respiratory illness, injury (pecking) or getting some type of debris in the eye. Once the pus is removed, flush the eye a couple of times a day, apply some Vetericyn eye gel or Terramycin eye ointment to the eye. Monitor her to see if the swelling and bubbles go away.

If they eye and swelling get worse after you have flushed it and applied ointment for a few days - having a vet take a look at it would be a good idea.

Offer her some poultry vitamins in her water, see that she is drinking well.
