Last year I hatched several blue/black/splash marans. All of them looked good except 1. The chick hatched with extra short fluff on its back. There was plenty of fluff on the head, chest, wings, etc. But the back was covered by patchy bunchs of extra short "fluff." The chick thrived just fine until it was time to move outside. The chick died a week later for unknown reason (yes, all possibilities were explored). So, I do not have a picture of the chick.
I have been searching online and even contacted the breeder where I got the eggs. So far, the condition doesn't seem to have occured anywherw else. Any inside and help would be most appreciated it.
