Chick with fused toes

She’s walking on it fine. It’s dry, no open wound. Eating and drinking too. I treated her with homeopathy for pain/trauma and used frankincense oil on the wound. Watching her closely, but she seems to be doing really well. Luckily the membrane was super thin.

hi! found your thread. i have a FBCM chick (is it a breed thing?!) with the same problem. planning to perform chick podiatry surgery tomorrow when my paramedic husband is home! i have cayenne - corn starch - and yarrow. hoping everything goes smoothly.

and i do wonder if it’s a breed thing?! attaching some pics because pics are always fun!

PS. she’s spicy. not even a week old and SHE BITES!! hoping the attention and constant playing with my daughters teaches her not to nip the fingers that feed her 😉 she’s definitely a spicy one. attaching a pic of her sister as well. any name suggestions welcome, as well!

I am going to do the same procedure on a chick. Did you use arnica for pain?
