Hello,
I have a Sicilian Buttercup chick a little over a week old. She was vaccinated for Marek's. She was happy and healthy fours days ago. Her health has been declining ever since. At first she would not lay down to sleep and kept her eyes closed most of the time. She would wake to eat and drink and then go back to sleeping. Yesterday she didn't want to eat or drink. So I started feeding her with a dropper. She eventually came around and started eating again. I thought things were turning around.
This morning, I found her with her head completed cocked backward (gooseneck?). She will not open her eyes. When she tries to move around she falls over and flails around. I have to stand her back up. I am feeding and giving her water with a dropper. She is pooping normally. I don't know whats going on. Can anyone tell me what I am dealing with. Should I be concerned for my other chicks? She is quarantined in her own small pen. She is a feisty little girl that just doesn't seem to want to give up. She seems aggravated that she cannot move around. Please give me some advise.
Thanks, Andrea
