Hi. I have 4 modern game bantams in a 2 hen coop in my barn. I have a heat lamp and heat pad in there. The heat pad is slippery, but it said it was for chicks. Well today I went out there and Claire is not walking correctly. It seems like whenever he puts pressure on the one leg, the knee gives out. I don't know what to do. I am pretty sure it was caused by the heat pad, and I need to take it out,but it is going to get colder here and I don't want them to freeze...I doubt the barn will get any colder, but I'm worried for at night. i just don't want them getting too cold

And does anyone know what to do about the leg???

Also there is no swelling that I can see. It's shaking, even when I put it under the light. I think it's either the knee joint or the hip joint. Would putting a towel over the heat pad help keep from further injuries?
