Chick with no eyes!

Does it have no eyes or are the lids sealed shut with hatching gunk?
Had that happen once with a chick, just had to clean them with warm water few times and they were fine.
If no eyes, euthanize.

We checked he just has no eyes

Quote: You really should euthanize.
One of the hardest learning curves of chickeneering.....
.....but necessary at times, especially if you are hatching.

Either have one really hard day or many, many, many hard days trying to keep that bird alive and chances are it will still fail to thrive without one of it most important bodily functions.
Harder for you, but better for the suffering animal not to prolong it's difficulties.

Quick neck snip with pruning or poultry shears over the herby curby and be done with it.

Agree, it may be hard and really sad to do but it's the best thing to do.

Biography
Mumble is a blind Pekin bantam chick who hatched on the 4th of May 2015.
I was told to cull her as she wouldn't make it, but I wasn't going to give up on her that easy. This page is Mumble proving to the world that she CAN make it and that she WILL! Go #TeamMumble :D

Well this is encouraging! How did you keep the chick alive? Does it require any special care?

Not me .. but I follow Mumbles on Facebook ... please look her up. In the past Mummbles mum (type person) has taken in one other eyeless chick .. that was near by. Im in Australia and not really good on my US geography, so I cant be sure where she is in relation to you. I have msged her to come here and look at this thread.

Thank you so much!

Keep her warm and try to encourage her to drink by dipping her beak in water. It may be comfort care, but it's better than nothing if you aren't going to cull.

If she has no eyes, she may have other developmental problems too.
