I have a chick born with splayed legs & curled feet. We hobbled it’s legs 3 days after birth & gave it chick sandals. With food & water easily available it refuses to eat. We have been forcing it food & water, I’m afraid we aren’t feeding it enough & might be slowly starving it. Also, looks like bone is exposed on the back of it’s feet, on the heal part. It’s not bleeding. It’s smaller then all the other chicks & appears to me that it’s eyes are a little sunken in. We can’t keep these chicks, it’s a homeschool school project. We get eggs incubate them & give them to local farms or friends. After 24 hours we removed the hobble & saw no improvement. I’m not sure what else to do for this chick. My main concern is that it just won’t eat on it’s own....
