Chick with prolapse!!!! HELP?

The bator is just a perfect breeding ground for bacteria. The brooder should be a more open area with some form of heat. Did you read the link?

So should I put them in with the others then? The brooder is more open air if that's what you mean. I just didn't think I should put them in there yet, but I can they'd just be together

Without seeing your setup it's hard to know. Is there no way that you can put a piece of cardboard diagonally to divide the brooder in two. Everyone needs to have access to the heat. If you must use the bator just make sure it is squeaky clean.

Are you sure that isn't a retained umbilical stump? It will fall off if it is. If it is a prolapsed vent, most recommend honey or Preparation H (or pure Witch Hazel) to be put on the prolapse to help shrink it. With older chickens you are supposed to push it back in if you can. Yeah its belly button. Not vent. Its like a bulge. I'll check in him again this morning.

Hes still hangin in there. He did drink once today without making a funny noise and I'm not sure if he is eating, a few of the older chicks have began to show interest in the food. I went and put him in the brooder, nobody has picked his bum yet, he mostly sets on it lol. It seems to have shrank a little.

Oh good, try him on some scrambled egg with a spoonful of Greek yoghurt mixed in. Mine love it.

You may need to syringe feed him/ her. I found this article on feeding. This product is similar to the one I use, but the one I use is specifically designed for parrots and caged birds.

Thanks! He seems to be eating and drinking. I noticed today the bubble is a little smaller.
