I have a 3 week old silkie with a swollen foot. I've cleaned the foot and soakef it in warm water with epsom salt. I thought maybe it's Bumblefoot, but I don't know for sure since there's no sore that I can see. It is the only chick with this problem. I've separated it to give it time to recover, but I'm seeing no improvement in the swelling. The chick is laying around a lot, but does eat and drink normally. Any ideas as to what the problem is and how I can fix it?

It looks a little like an infection, but an injury could be also a possibility. Do you see any splinters or scabs if using a magnifier? Antibiotic such as amoxicillin or penicillin may help an infection, along with continuing warms soaks daily.

I don't see a thing. However, I feel you may be right about it being an infection. I'll try what you've suggested. Thanks.
