Chick with yolk coming out

Ok its definitely yolk. It all came out. Still in the full form. Any way to help this or will he die from this?

The yolk *should be* bright yellow... that looks like it might be infected... never seen one come out like that either... if you have an oral antibiotic, you could try giving it a drop or 2, otherwise just wait and see or cull... sorry... :(
 
A little after I posted last night, the yolk opened up, I imagine from him squirming. It looked like what was left was intestines that came out with it. It was hanging by a vein. :( He was acting extremely weak, so I had my husband cull him. Poor guy. I have never seen that happen before.

So sorry. I was shocked that he hatched to begin with. Sadly, these things happen on occasion. :hugs

It sucks but you did the right thing.
One responsibility we have when we raise animals is to have the courage to put them down when its needed.
If you felt great about it I would be worried. I LOATHE every time I have to do it, but I know I have to.
