One of my 2 week old chicks won't eat the treats! Normally at 2 weeks of age I start to introduce them to treats, however one of my two little runts won't eat the treats. She runs around and acts like everybody else, but she physically does not pick up the treats. Why?!

What are you feeding as "treats"? Since she's a runt she may not be as eager to grab the food as her overbearing siblings. Put her next to them and let her see them eating the treats; then see if she wants to try. What chick food are you feeding? Do you notice any abnormalities in the stool? It's a proven study that chickens have unique senses of taste, and not all of them are going to like the same thing, so try feeding her different treats later on. Best of luck!

I have tried corn and scrambled eggs. I even took her out of the brooder, placed her on a plate full of scrambled eggs. No interest so I brought another chick out that had interest to show her. She walked over to the other chick and stared but that was it. I also tried putting it right in her face, on her beak (not in a harmful way by any means - just trying to show her).

to early for corn honestly...if she is eating her chick food and acting normal, other than not eating "treats" then I say she is just being a chickie and will be fine. I have had juveniles 13 weeks old that would not eat meal worms, till they saw the older girls eat them.

She is being normal otherwise! Well, at least the dog will be happy to get some extra corns haha.

Live treats, get live mealworms or crickets the runts will eat those guaranteed.;)

Good idea! My fishies love them too!

Corn is a little much for her tight now; try mealworms or other live foods. Best of luck!

Live treats are a really good habit to get them into.
In a tight spot you can gutload the insects with medication if you ever have to treat your birds for illness and they are the best chicken whistle on earth if you divvy them out of the same container everytime and let the birds see where you're getting them from.:)
