Chicken’s Eye Bloated Eye

Peru is a year old cochin. Her right eye is closed shut and we don’t know why. Yesterday, we thought it might’ve been a bee sting when her eye was still open and just a little bit puffy. Now her eye’s completely closed so we aren’t so sure anymore. We used a warm, wet cloth to press lightly against the eye to try to open it. her actual eye looks fine, it’s just the outside is very puffy. we put some antibacterial cream around the area. Is there anything we can do to help her, and what exactly is happening to her eye?

Poor thing... It looks more like swelling around her eye, not much to do with her eye itself. It looks more like some kind of allergic reaction... Just wait and see if it goes down. I don't see how it could get much worse.
