Hi guys, so recently I've noticed that my 9 month old girl is acting strangely: first of all, I've noticed that she's not laying every day. That's perfectly normal, but paired with that is the fact that everytime my other girl is in the hutch laying(I only have two girls), penny will call her, and then will go quiet, flap her wings in front of her, make her neck go all long and crooked, and will make the most horrible screeching io have ever heard from a chicken. I don't know if Shes lonely withought her friend (she never does this when the other girl is around, or if she's trying to crow like a rooster (sorry Penny, you do a bad job of it). So if anyone has the answer, I would be grateful:)

Maybe the rooster thing. I've got two possibilities, each rather grim. Newcastle disease has twisted neck, and Laryngotracheitis (ILT) symptoms include "emitting a cawing sound". However, both of these diseases are very serious, and your bird doesn't sound affect.
