Chicken apron keeps sliding off on one side.

Help if you can. I really need my chickens to wear aprons/saddles. They have horrible feather picking habits that have no other solution -- tried everything, believe me! Here is the problem. I have both purchased and made chicken aprons (the ones that don't go over the head) for my chickens. I have made them from all kinds of material and thickness. They mostly just slide off on one side of my chicken. Does anyone have any suggestions? [email protected]

I'm talking about the ones with elastic that do not go over the head.

I had luck with a one piece apron made out of a 6 X 9 inch piece of stretchy polarfleece with 2 wing slits. The wings hold them on well without straps. You might make one first to alter to make sure it fits. Below are some pics I found of some (not mine) but are similar.
