I just found this post so will add to it. I have a bucket trap for mice. I use water in it to kill the mice and normally I just toss the carcass in the field for the ravens. Now that I have chickens I decided to see what they would do to it. I tossed in two fresh kills and after the girls figured out what they were it was game on. Now I have a new food source for my girls. Next I will try a live catch and see how long it lasts in the run. The run is built to not allow anything in so I assume it will not allow anything out, like a mouse.
