Chicken Attacked HELP

One of our hens was attacked by our Dog after she flew out of the run. This Happened Yesturday afternoon. Some thing is hanging out of ber vent. She was in the box when i was up there and there was yoke looking stuff on the bottom of the nest. Is the thing hanging out the egg shelll or is it her intestines or what? what do i do.

i have no experence here. If it's a busted egg it probably needs to be cleaned out.
inerds would need to be pushed back in. hopefuly more help will be posted. first rule is do no harm. isolate her in a dark place to keep her from making more eggs. then determine what is really hanging out.

Yes, you need to catch her, bring her inside to a quiet, dark place and clean her up. Sounds like an egg might have broken inside. Look her over VERY carefully for injuries etc...A warm bath and blow dry to clean her up would be helpful. You might need to help her get the rest of the egg out. I'll find some info on this for you...

If it is her body part, she probably has a vent prolapse--could you get a photo? She will need you help with that also.
