My chicken was attacked by a predator of some kind. Her head is bloody (comb and wattle look fine). I brought her into the house in a safe, quiet place. Am trying to give her drops of water and keep her warm. Vets in this area have not been helpful in the past so I am trying to care for her myself. Questions: She is on a low setting heating pad but has open mouth breathing and panting. How do I know if the heating pad is too warm (it's on low). Also, can I give her a little ibuprofin?

You can give her baby aspirin crushed in water. Any pics?
Thanks for your quick reply. How much baby aspirin should I give her? I am attaching a picture. The attack happened about 8 hours ago. Her breathing has settled down but she is still panting. Bleeding stopped about 6 hours ago.

Clean the area with sterile saline solution. And it’s 5 baby aspirin to one gallon of water.
I will do that. Thank you! One more question, please. Do you think I should spray her with chlorhexidine? I am not sure how to mix/dilute it for a spray solution.
