Dried meal worms are my girls' favorite treat & I give them scratch in the morning with some fruit.

Absolutely! They know as soon as I walk to the barn & say "Time to go in, girls" that the mealworms shortly follow

My Barred Rock is the smartest & most adventurous/trusting of the 3. My RIR is the most timid but, oddly enough, the alpha!

Thats great! Just make sure everything other than their commercial feed only takes up to 10% of their diet. So 25 chickens, for example, get 1/2 a cup of treats a day, so not a lot at all.
