Well here is some happier news:
A six chick is born!
It has dark down and is drying up under mommy with her (hopefully her) 4 siblings.
Ginny seems ok with this one.
I shall keep close watch on them.
Now there's another one piping! It's one of the two last eggs.
It seems to be hatching on the wrong side, just like it's mommy Ginny!
Just have to say that is too cute!! Hope all goes well for the hatch!!
The chick is zipping now. I'm waiting for it to hatch before going to bed.
We have 6 chickies now!
The eggs Ginny just hatched were bought from the same farmer who gave us Ginny's egg. So she is perhaps hatching her one siblings.
I haven't updated in a couple of days,
So Ginny hatched a total of 6 live chicks.
It is snowing outside and is -10°C. All the chicks are doing well.
