You are right! I am gonna do the first design first, and then I will upgrade to a bonnet if it keeps falling down. It seems like the bonnet would be hot in the summer!

I did make a few of these, they turned out well. Sadly, I didn't start an Etsy shop since at the time, I was afraid I wouldn't have enough time to make all the bandana's. Now that its winter and getting dark so early, I was considering finally starting it up. I'll keep you posted if I do, and will post a link to my shop here as well.

Only issue I see with this idea is strangled hens due mating roosters, or getting caught on something.

Exactly. They'd have to be velcro so they would release. Something that could be torn off.
Of course, the hens may be able to tear it off themselves. I'll have to give a few away as testers haha! Then you guys can tell me what to change.

Make sure the velcro isn't the extra strength then.
