That chicken looks like she BELONGS on your counter.

Ps I LOVE all the wood in your house!

Thank you-It is very hard to keep clean-any ounce of dust is noticable-I give up until the weekends! When I use the bathroom tub ( we have a standing shower in there too) as a brooder-it gets so dusty and gross! Dh cut me off until I ( we) can create a brooder in the garage that I can use all winter-

We may have to next summer. DH wants to take some to the fair. Yet somehow I have a feeling that I'll be the one doing the bathing

The only birds I ever bathe are the Silkies. And they love it; my rooster just lays in the water and falls asleep while getting scrubbed. They take a long time to dry, and at first they tend afraid of the blow drier. I comb/brush my Silkies while drying to make it go faster, otherwise it would take forever. In the end they look, and smell a whole lot better.

I used to bathe my Silkies when they's get all muddy looking. They'd smell nice and then I'd use conditioner on their feathers and blow dry them. I think that only one of the Silkies didn't mind the day at the "beauty parlor"!
