Your post put a smile on my face this morning...lol. I'd like to think my chickens would be just as worried about me if I disappeared, but that would probably depend on whether the scratch jar had disappeared with me or not...

Mine can be so darned invisible! Esp. when they are dust bathing, they get up under each other. 1234, where is 5?? Don't panic, she is around, search search, until I hear my sister from our side porch, "is this who you are searching for?" The door had been left open and Fiona decided to go to the self serve sunflower seed bar. She was napping on the bench. Getting some hair dye today, went a little more gray than I like.....

A follow up to my magic chicken, I kept a close eye on her and saw that she was going under a large metal roof covering that is laying on the ground. I went and ran her out and took the tractor and lifted the cover thinking I might find an egg, lo and behold, a pile of seven eggs in a nice nest. I don't have any roo's so none of them could be fertilized.
