Ok, good. Let him chill in there for a day or two before letting him out.
If you watch them, can you tell which one is the "big boss?" It might be a good idea (MIGHT) to cage up both boys until you can sell them, or just let them out one at a time.
 
Hello! I may not be an expert, but I will try and help the best that I possibly can. All the info given here is exactly what I agree with, and you are most definitely on the right path, but here are a few tips that might work as a side note. I would suggest using Bacitracin or diluted hydrogen Peroxide. Personally... The Bacitracin might do better. If you want to stay more natural than the medical substances I suggested above, you can use coconut oil on your injured rooster's comb. As far as it goes with the bully, once your one is healed, the bully is the one that should be separated.
