@RustyHen hi, I'm ok, now just got home from the hospital

sorry for the MIA, DH had to come home early had to call him he was in Joplin, Mo and said you need to come home took him 3 days just in time to pick me up from the hopsital. had to regulate some of my meds. he is trying to find a local job too far away for emergencies. oh such is life.

I got some invisible thread from hancocks and by the way it is on sale right now for 1/2 off. I am going to try the video w/ the "lined and turned" pieces and then machine sewed, probably w/ the blanket stitch. I thought the invisible thread would be easier then trying to change thread colors all the time. And much more first time friendly then my original idea of doing the stitching in black thread.

I hope no one thought I was being critical of anyone's technique w/ my comments. This is my absolute first time applique'ing and I am trying to find a technique that will work for me.
