I've been trolling the internet for paper pieced chicken blocks, there are lots more appliqued ones out there, I even saw one or two really cool traditional pieced like w/ squares and 1/2 square triangles and the like. I'll have to see if I can find it again and post a link for those not wanting to try paper or applique
