Chicken block swap due June 15th

Can't speak for Kassaundra, but... even if the pattern you want to use has been done by someone else, you will probably have different fabrics and that should be fine.

As far as saving this page, if you go to your profile page, it should be listed there already as threads that you are subscribed to.

Thank you! I am going to tweak it a little, so it will be even different than the original. Yes, I am subscribed here, just wasn't sure how long the pics would be posted. I think I may try to save it to my favorites.

Nope! didn't save to my favorites!

I can't post comments when I'm at work, only look, I can make comments in the ovation thing, so when I'm at work and want to make a comment I post it there.

I have no issues w/ you choosing a diff block at all, I'm glad you found one you like and have the time to finish.

I totally agree the same block done in different fabrics can have a whole diff look.

I have Toi-toi's blocks and they got here last week just been super busy, and I finally got to peak at them last night ohhh they are soooo cute, this is going to be another fun quilt
don't hurry ladies lots of time to go

I'm really going to try to get mine to you on time! I have 2 1/2 blocks finished. I should have them done by the weekend. I'm off on wednesday and thursday. Btw, I used heat n bond on 1 small piece of a block. It peeled off the next day. Am I doing it wrong? I've read the instructions and I'm following them. I'm going to stitch around them, but disappointed in the heat n bond. But I'm excited about the pattern!!

Same thing happened to me and I followed the instructions explicitly. I only did 6 of my 12 as applique and stitched them. It was my first time applique'ing and likely my last, to many other fun ways to quilt to do that again. lol

I know! Me too. I've never been a fan of applique, but these are just 2 small little chicks on each block, so I thought this would be perfect. I was going to stitch around them anyway, just for security. It does hold them in place to sew though.

I think for those that like hand work applique would be a more fun choice then piecing. I am not much of a handwork kinda gal unless there is no other choice. I did some handwork today, but not quilting.

For my husband.

I know. I'm not a handwork person either! I would love to be, but I don't have the patience. I would love to be a quilter, but I'm not! I want to hand stitch around these chicks, but I probably won't. Machine is quicker, and I'm running out of time!!

Did you make those ties? Good job!
