Chicken block swap due June 15th

Many different things can contribute to heat and bond not working.

Here are some I had to deal with-
the setting of the iron is too high
holding it too long when fusing the fabric to the H and B
using fabric softener
unwashed fabric can work sometimes and other times not
using steam
One time there was something wrong with the heat and bond I bought.

I am sure other people might be able to add to it.
Once you have it figured out it is wonderful to work with.

If anything on the list, I use dryer sheets, so that could be it. I'm going to go ahead and stitch around them.
Thanks for the list, though!
What is the final total of blocks we need to send?

I sat down to sew mine today, only to discover my machine is broken, WAHHHHHH.
serves me right for procrastination...but weather is pouring down so I cant work the next few days.
Sigh, its not even costume season.

Going to bush bash in my garage to dig up my 1960s singer...wish me luck
I love your fabrics Keepmumsane. I have been having the same sewing machine issues

We need 12 blocks, 12 1/2 inches square, finished size.

Thank you RustyHen! I still have 3 more to make plus stitch around the applique. I may be a little late getting mine there by the 15th. I'm going to do my best to get them in the mail on Sat. I have to work 12 hrs tomorrow, so no sewing. I hope this isn't going to present a problem. If I don't get them in the mail on Sat, I will overnight them on Mon. I'm excited to see what everyone is doing!!

I'm so glad your sewing machine is fixed!! Can't wait to see your block!

Just finished block #9 tonight. Three to go! Woo hooo! I have no idea though what they will be.

Hey, would it be completely socially unacceptable to ask for a specific block to be sent back to me? I have a couple favorites and it will be kind of hard to choose so I was just wondering.

When I hosted crochet block swaps I would sometimes have people request a specific block of theirs to be their return block. I was hoping not to get any of mine back, I made one extra of the different blocks for myself, and I think we have the perfect number of swappers to get one from everyone except yourself.

Just make some extra ones and keep the ones you want. I do the same as kassaundra. I think it would be hard for a swap leader to accommodate all kinds of different requests.
