Thanks Kassaundra. I am glad you like them. After I made them I started fretting if I was supposed to make them realistic looking. I struggled some with the bright but I myself think that I got that right. I did add the black/dark pan to offset the brights and make the pan more realistic looking.
Hmm I am OK at it I guess but in no way an expert. Buy HeatNBond LITE and follow the directions. I make a sheet of paper the size of the finnished block. Then I draw what I want to applique to size. I look at what over laps what. I then trace with a pencil each individual piece by laying the bubbly side of HeatNBond on top of the paper with the drawing. Trace with a pencil the shapes onto the smooth side of HeatNBond. I then cut out each piece leaving a 1/4 inch border. I then fuse them lightly on the back of the fabric. Next I cut out on the line. I then peel the backing off, arrange the pieces and fuse them in place. Then finish by sewing on using an applique stitch, zig zag or straight line for a raw edge look. If I do raw edge I set my machine to free motion. So Anna it looks like you have appliqued before, do you have any tips for us newbie applique'ers?
Ditto!!!!! Just beautiful chicken blocks!!!Anna6 you have set the bar very high for the rest of us. WOW (With Out Words)
