I'm not a blogger either, I just wanted one thread to track the progress of my chicks and document the coop construction. I guess journal would be a better word.

) So, as far as your Journal/Blog goes, sounds nice. I think it's a good idea to document the happenings. I looked over some pics I had dumped on my puter last night. I noticed that even though my chickens have more permanent feathers now, their chick down is still there. It's just hidden. This pic shows the down underneath:

So basically, I can pick between feathers and still find it.

actually my wife did it, I just sat there grossed out.

Only one out of 4 had a poopy bottom.

I did introduce the dogs to the chicks. Easy going moose could care less. While daisy made the same whistling sound she reserves for when she see a squirrel or other edible small animals.
