Chicken Breed Focus - Araucana

I know this is an older thread, bu I thought I would revive it. Several weeks ago I picked up a lovely clean faced white pullet, and more recently got a tufted whit roo. So excited for the little lady to grow up so we can start breeding them. I will get some pics up tomorrow!

So glad I found this thread. I have the opportunity to get a few dozen hatching eggs, but feel so conflicted due to the hatch rate being so bad. Those that hatch out, what have your odds been and do you feel it's worth it?

These are two of my Australian Bantam tailed Araucanas. They are pet quality and in molt but you can see there is a huge difference in standard between these and the rumpless

Araucana, Amerauana and Cream Legbars are the only recognised breeds I'm aware of that lay blue eggs.

corrected spelling: Ameraucana. You can look up chicken breeds under "reviews", to read about their differences.

Oops didn't notice the typo. Was fighting my phone that kept trying to go "Americana"
