Chicken Breed Focus - Brahma

Oh, we’ll still process. For us it’s all a package deal, and that’s part of the package. The older grandkids have never had issues with it, even when they were little, and Kendra has no real concept or understanding of anything but “Chickens!”. So we’re comfortable continuing what we were doing before our hiatus from chickens. Tank. Tank was special. She made her place in the family and we were more than happy to let her as long as Kendra enjoyed it and wasn’t hurt.
I absolutely loved your story....some chickens are just so special! Thank u so much for sharing!

View attachment 1799538 View attachment 1799539 I have 2 dark Brahmas who I love so much, but here pictured is my late light Brahma who was my lovely baby Winnie. She passed recently and the tree pictured is her resting place. Brahmas are probably my favorite birds and I’m so lucky I had her :love
I love my 2 buffs. Gracie is still my sweetest overall and will sit happily once she does a slight protest. Frankie is a bit reluctant but won’t argue once settled. They are both so sweet. They don’t snuggle down like my Silkies, but mostly because they are bigger then my lap now😃. When it’s time I think I’ll skip getting new Favorelles and do Silkies and Brahmas only. Although the Favorelles are like having twin clowns among the other 4.

i asked because this was supposed to be a light Brahma pullet and when I had asked I may have tagged the wrong person I was curious what this guy may look like. I’m including a pic of before and 2 of now. I battled with them since he was 4 weeks old. Even sent pics of the long pointed saddle feathers....they said pullet still hahaha eventually they agreed it was just a long battle.
We call him sheep bc he’s the black sheep. Unfortunately another boy is not needed so he will go in the freezer.

That's too bad. He is handsome! You could sell him on craigslist for $25 and go buy yourself a steak dinner ;) :p
