Chicken Breed Focus - Dutch Bantam

I had a Dutch Bantam hen that I bought at TSC. I picked her because she was so small and cute. I named her Peewee, and she was the fussiest and most feisty little pulley. You could always count on her making more noise than any of the others. Sadly, she died when she was a few months from an unknown cause. I really enjoyed her character and spunk. I got two more chicks, one is a pulley and the other is a cockerel, Polly and Penrey. They are both tiny and beautiful, and I hope they will have chicks one day.

Hatchery Dutch are not DUTCH, see his pink legs. Dutch have dark blue legs. But enjoy him as a lovely Backyard banty, but not DUTCH.

These are OLD ENGLISH GAME bantams. No white ear lobes, legs too long, Hackle is DARK and has no black striping, Saddle is short and has no black striping. All color is too dark (Red Shouldered Black) and not the LIGHT BROWN of DUTCH BANTAMS. Enjoy them as lovely bantams, but not as DUTCH.

Hi. I hatched three Dutch bantam two weeks ago. Here are some pictures. To me they all look females :jumpy
Can anyone tell me what to look for or if you can tell or is it too early. I really appreciate any input
Thanks a bunch

They look nice. It’s easier to tell cockerels from pullets when they get their chest feathers. Light tan means pullet and any other color means cockerel unless it’s a variety like self blue or a few other colors.

I live in Greece and I need hatching eggs. Who can help me?
I want light columbian, gold partridge, black, splash, blue, buff.
@Thomas Lamprogiorgos , did it work out somehow to buy fertile eggs from Dutch bantams? I know that some breeders in the Netherlands sell and post eggs by 10. They wrap each egg in toilet paper and put the wrapped eggs in a egg box from the grocery store. Best contact the club for breeders who participate in showing their chickens (see below) . You can ask if some of the breeders has eggs for sale upcoming spring.

I just bought some Dutch eggs that will be coming in the mail soon! So excited to hatch and show these adorable little bantams!
You made me curious. What color? Where did you get them from? Where do you live!? Do you have an incubator? DO you keep the chickens inside you're house till spring?
Please keep us informed.

Light brown. I got them from a person on Ebay who (from what I've seen) is a serious breeder. He got his stock from a 4H breeder. Yes I have an incubator. The chicks stay inside until they are able to go out into the barn. Which is usually when they've got most of their feathers.
