Chicken Breed Focus - Houdan

Pics
I have a question for Houdan fans. We’ve added two Houdan pullets to our flock this year just for fun / to experience new breeds. They are backyard quality from a local breeder. Both are about 11 weeks old now.

My question is about their hoarse voices. When they make chicken noises, there’s a certain hoarseness present. Not strained or sickly, but more of a “singer in a smoky jazz bar” way. They kind of remind me of my Aunt June in the 80s who smoked a pack of Pal Mals a day.

Anyhow, is this normal or common? Should I be concerned, or just continue laughing about it and enjoying the company of my jazz singer Houdans?
Mine "honk" in adult voice, with a bit of a whistling quality to it.
