Chicken Breed Focus - Polish

I’m a first time chicken mommy and I had to have a polish! This is ours, we are hoping female. It is 8 ish weeks okd

My polish, Pompom, is white crested and has no other polish companions. She occasionally gets left behind when they are free-ranging. Someone usually has to come help her if she starts to panic. I love the delicate way she takes her steps, as if she has to calculate each one precisely. She is nervous if I pick her up, so in general I let her come to me. I hope she is not actually a rooster, since I already have three. Here are a few pics, also my profile image is of her at 2 mo. old.

this is Proud Mary my only polish. She is very skittish but so entertaining to watch

we’ve got two five year old buff laced polish hens and they are our favorites by far
one is a little flighty but the other will come over and sit by your feet and wait to be picked up
and then she’ll fall asleep in your arms haha
they aren’t the best layers but that’s completely fine by us, we just love having them as our goofy little pals : )
