Are they pure heritage Rhode Island Reds? They look like it. My pure birds didn't start laying until they were about 32 weeks. My production RIR's started at 16 weeks but most were 20 to 24 weeks when they started to lay.

I bought 2 rir's, 2 black sexlink & 2 buff sexlink ( they were nearly out of chicks)
I also have 2 other chickens that are "mutts" & give me an egg a day (except when they molt).
Someone just started to lay & her egg is pink ! I know it's not from my mutt chickens, but was wondering if this could be from one of "sexlink kids". Any help is much appreciated.
