Chicken Breed Poll!!!

The way I understand it,

Buttercup is a comb type.

Sicilian Buttercup is a chicken breed that has the buttercup comb -- but people often just call them "Buttercups".

Yes

I need to look into other breeds that have that comb.

I wasn't aware of any other breeds with a buttercup comb. Usually anytime someone references a Buttercup, they're referring to a Sicilian Buttercups @BDutch

I am getting into NN. I have a Frizzle NN, and 3 regular NN. The 3 regular was I had a black NN hen, and she had 2 babies. The frizzle/NN I have not bred yet, but this spring I hope to.

As far as AC, I have had them, (I currently have a 1/2 with an austra white, looks austra white with black comb.) AC have small /med. tan eggs and they go broody. I gave mine away. The austra white mix lays a good sized egg, much biger than an AC and it is a light gray color.

My favorite breeds of chickens are the Belgian Liege Vechter's Combattant de Liege, and the Belgian Brugse Vechter's Combattant de Brugse. Very big game chicken breeds from Belgium. Roosters can weigh in at 13+lbs, and stand as tall as 30in tall, hens are smaller but can weigh in at 8-10lbs. Good body size for the table, and good layers of cream colored eggs. Very friendly to humans, but holy terrors to predators. Look out birds of prey.

I love all my chickens, but my Ameraucanas have a special spot in my heart the others don’t (don’t tell them I said that though!). They are just so expressive, friendly, personable, mellow birds. Mine are very good boys that occasionally bicker but mainly just hang together or with me. They are just the most lovely birds

I don't have any polish chickens, but they look hilarious and I would love to get some sometime
