Me too. I recently bought eggs at $50. each and was sadly disappointed when I hatched African Greys. So trying to find something more reputable. They are beautiful birds.

I want really dark chocolate egg layers (so likely Marans, Welsummers, or Barnevelders). I don't care if the birds look anything close to their SOP or if they lay lots of eggs, as long as the breeder/hatchery is selecting for healthy birdies with super dark eggs. (This is not for immediate purchase, but for a year or two form now.)

Willing to consider hatching eggs through started pullets. Shipping is okay.
