lol i am glad you are enjoying them so much, not sure about putting the koekoek chicks with them , personally I would wait till the koekoeks are older.

My sister said no lol she does not want to mix them I'm getting two separate pens were I can build my coops

My one hen keeps laying her eggs on the floor any advice?

@Gwyllm not too good at the moment , we have a few that have died , the others are still not fully developed , by the looks of it we have just had too much load shedding , 2 or 3 days late is ok but almost 7 days late it is doubtful that they will be strong enough to break thru the shell after such an extended incubation period but we will give the live ones a chance to see if they do.

@Nanna34 you could try leaving the other eggs in the nest for a while rather then taking them out straight away , she might see the other eggs and start laying by them instead

Oh no Colin. I have also been wondering. That's so sad. Bloody Eskom! Sadly it's due to carry on for quite a while. Maybe time for a little generator just for egg development.
