Chicken breeds that don't roam far

I was researching chickens the other day (like I do every day.)

I saw a breed described as not wandering far from the coop. So I was wandering what everyone's experience is. Which breeds do you think like to stick close to home?

Hm. I want to say that really depends on the individual chicken. In my experience red stars, when not mixing in with my other breeds, generally stick close by and go to the same free-ranging areas most of the time, as opposed to my curious orpington and plymouth rock.

I have 10 silkies, two roosters and 8 hens that free range all day, every day. We have an acre and it's not fenced at all, they could quite easily wander off into the neighbours yard but they're never do they've never even been to most parts of my yard (it's a broken up block with forest, hills and a creek) They always stay within about 20 metres of the coop in an area where there's plenty of open grass and some tress for cover where as my neighbours isa Browns end up all over the neighbourhood
