Hey what are some really nice fancy breeds that are also good layers?

Araucanas (no tail, big, fluffy tufts, plus blue eggs)

Ameraucanas (buff fluffy muffs and beard, plus blue eggs)

Polish (big fluffy crests on head and sometimes a beard too)

Silkies (fuzzy silkied feathering, big fluffy crest, feathered legs)


To name a few.

Then you can also list breeds with fancy colors like Silver Laced, Blue Laced Red, Mille Fleur, Lavender, etc.

I had Salmon Faverolles for awhile - IMHO a very fancy breed and a decent layer.

Most of the Polish varaities are good layers, most of the Cochins that I have had are fair to middling layers ( not as good as the Rocks and RIR's and such), Easter Eggers are good layers (not technically a breed though more of a type), and the lesser know variaties of the Wyandottes.
