This is the coop I set up and finished today...it's a starter coop from Tractor Supply, I put the chicks out there for a couple of hours today and they seemed to love it..it's in the 80's here today.

I was considering Tractor Supply for my coops, I'm going to have a flock of 15+ (not much over 15) and would likely need two, I'm thinking one large coop, and one smaller coop in case anyone needs to be separated out. My primary plan is still to build a coop, and there's still time left to do so. If things fall through, I'll be purchasing two coops, one that can house ten to fifteen or so, and another that can house five or so.

If you can build one you would be better off, and build it bigger than you think you need. More space is better. Prefab coops tend to vastly overestimate the number of birds you can put in them.

I agree, I would build if possible, these are not made to last...I got this one on sale and if I really like having chickens I will get one built by a carpenter, if not I have a pretty piece of yard art...
