Chicken brooding?

I have a smaller flock of 4 birds. Over the last few days one of the girls has started staying in the laying box for hours at a time with no eggs in the nest but she is laying. The only time she comes out is when I pull her out and lock her out of the pen. I have tried pulling her out a few times a day and just started the cold water baths. Now it seems that she is keeping the other chickens out of the boxes now.Does it sound like she is brooding? Does anyone have any tips on how to break her of this behavior? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have no experience, but in reading from the experts on BYC, use a cage with a open floor so the under side of the hen cools off for a few days. with food and water of course. hope that helps
