This came across in a dog-training forum i'm in. (not that i'm attending - i can't imagine paying that much to attend chicken camp - i love my girls, but................that's a LOT of chicken feed lol)

The Dude Ranch Pet Resort and Training Academy in Richmond, Virginia
is proud to host a complete 4 day Chicken Training Camp with Terry
Ryan on July 15th through the 18th at the Dude Ranch Pet Resort.
This is a rare East Coast event where you will get to participate in 4
days of training chickens; just like the camps held at Legacy Canine
(minus the long drive)!
Why should dog trainers train chickens? Trainer's are not "bonded" to
their chickens. Chickens do not have big brown eyes. Trainers do not
have bad (or good!) chicken training habits because they've never
trained a chicken before, thus avoiding the baggage often taken to dog
training workshops. You will not be showing your chickens at the next
performance event, nor will you be taking them home, so there is no
pressure on what will happen in the future. You probably do not have
a library full of chicken training books and DVD's to influence you,
much less televisions shows on chicken training.
Training a chicken is a stretch and a boost to your mechanical skills.
The average chicken is faster than the average dog, giving you a
chance to improve your coordination and timing.
Chickens will freeze or fly away if they don't like the way you are
training them. Unlike dogs, you will know immediately if you are
taking advantage of a chicken or pushing too hard too fast. Chickens
don't give their trainers a second chances as often as our dogs do.

We have 30 slots for full participants and 10 for auditors.
Registration is $650 for the full 4 days and auditors are $300 (no
partials). Lunches will be provided each day at $10 a day (and we can
provide for a non-meat option).
Activities start at 9:00 am and end at 5:00 pm each day, except the
last day which ends at 4:00. Lunch is from 12:00 - 1:00 and is served
at the training center. The facility is air conditioned and please
bring clothing appropriate for handling chickens.
Since this is a non-dog event (dogs and chickens together would not
make for a pleasant day), hotels are very affordable in the area and
you have plenty to choose from. If you need hotel information please
let me know that when you register. The Richmond International Airport
(RIC) is approximately 35 minutes away. If you do wish to travel with
your dog, you are more than welcome to board them at the facility and
enjoy the 47 acres of woods and ponds at the end of your day.

City/State/Zip, Contact Phone numbers, and Email. Payment processing
instructions will be given after you contact Leann. You will be
considered "registered" once payment has been confirmed.
Refund policy for this event is the same as at Legacy Canine- "If you
choose to cancel your registration for one of our chicken camps, you
must notify us in writing (e-mail, fax, letter). Cancellations
received no later than 45 days before the first day of the camp will
receive a refund of 50% of the registration fee. Cancellations
received no later than 30 days prior to the start of the camp will
receive a refund of 25% of the registration fee. No refunds will be
issued for cancellations received less than 30 days before the first
day of the camp. This policy is without exception."
