This started 2 days ago before that she/he was totally fine. No leg paralysis, eating/drinking fine and still full of life. I have been giving electrolytes and vitamins in case there was a deficiency in something. This could be some sort of back injury but I didn’t personally witness anything. I think she might be standing a little taller today but no sure. I was wondering if anyone has seen this before and has any advice. Thank you!
Do you know when her last egg was?
You mention it could be injury, do you have a rooster that is rough?
Does she have any lice/mites?
Any signs of injury to the legs/feet, broken toe nails, etc.?
Are the other chickens bothering her or picking at her? If they are, move her to a separate cage within the coop/run so she can be with them but protected.
Provide her with her own food/water.
If she's not laid an egg and should have, then start her on Calcium Citrate+D3 once daily for a week. You can find Calcium Citrate+D3 in the vitamin aisle of stores like
Walmart, CVS, etc. Give 1 tablet daily, just pull down on her wattles, pop the tablet into the beak and let her swallow.
Work on hydration and see that she's eating. Giving the vitamins/electrolytes are a good idea, do provide plain fresh water too.
