Chicken 'Catnip'

I was almost certain they would go absolutely crazy over shredded carrots. They are picking at them slowly, but not devouring them as I expected. Is there something that is similar to 'catnip' for chickens? In other words, what is it your chickens can not get enough of?

giving them crickets is hilarious to watch!!! they stalk them then peck and WHACK!! they get one and run like mad lol.

tuna. Apparently it is chicken crack.

Second to that is spagetti noodles. An entertaining way of using leftovers!

They caught a baby mole the other day and it was like SEC football out there. "It's on the 40, the 30, the 20... FUMBLE!!! And now chicken 2 has the ball (er... mole). She's going long.......... oh, no... tackled on the 10. And the ball is loose..."
