Chicken chat!

Peppermint: Hi! How is everyone? I haven't laid an egg in days, but I think I should get an excuse because of heat and stuff. Oh and I want to introduce to you our flock queen- Georgia!

Georgia: Hello, and nice to meet all y'all. I'm a nearly 5 year old Dominique. As Peppermint mentioned, I lost pretty much all of my toes, and all of my "sisters" from the same hatching. I was born in Ohio, but have lived here since day 2 probably. I'm queen over the flock right now, including a 5 1/2 yr old hen with spurs. I think I'm a good queen overall, except when I have to lay an egg, I get really grumpy and bite all kinds of stuff, even my mom sometimes. Does anyone else do that?

SOPHIA: My favorite treat is some meat, mostly steak is what my mommy feeds me of meat. Or I like corn on the cob, raw cabbage, and MEAL WORMS!

I've never had meat, as my human-mommy is a vegetarian. I just over heard some SHOCKING news. Wait for it. Our mommies PRETEND they are us and fake talk to each other!!! Why??? It must be one of the mysteries of the world, like why humans have such huge coops and why the sun goes down.

SOPHIA: I dictate what I want to say to my mommy, so she isn't pretending to be me, she's just typing. And, yes, why do humans have such big coops? I live with several nieces and siblings and my coop is teeny, and some humans live alone and their coop is huge!

I know, right? My mommy and the weird guy she is always screaming for when she thinks somethings wrong with us cleaned our coop this morning! Mommy set up some outdoor nesting boxes made out of feed bags and buckets for us because she took out the linoleum to clean it and she didn't want us on the bare wood! My sister Tiffany squeezed through to the Arbor Vitae plant garden outside our fenced area. It took Mommy and Human Roo 20 minutes to catch her! Human Roo attached a board to the area she got through, and mommy had to hold Tiffany while he was doing it so she wouldn't try to get through before the board was up!

SOPHIA: sounds like quite a day! I'm not much of an escape artist. Mommy doesn't like it, and I like Mommy, so I just stay in my pen so I can live a happy life not being eaten. :)

SOPHIA: I mean by predators. Mommy would never eat me! Or my sisters! She said that when we stop laying we are just going to live the rest of our lives out in peace until we die, and then she will bury us, but I'm not sure if she said anything about gravestones. Hmmm, I'll have to check on that. I need a gravestone.

My mommy says she'll run a chicken retirement home!

SOPHIA: My mommy didn't say that, but obviously me and my siblings and nieces will be retired. Not from making mommy happy though! We'll never retire from that.
Do you have any other family living with you besides sisters? I have sisters and nieces, and nephews for a while until Mommy came and got them one day, got in a coop on wheels, and came back without them.
